I had made a point during this fast to read thru psalms. I am convinced that many psalms were written during fasting periods. My heart melts with the heart of the psalmist during these days more than never before. Last night I couldn't get my eyes (and my mind) out of Psalm 56:8
"You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book."
I don't know about you, but the thought of God collecting each and every of my tears that fall in the ground, tears of pain, sadness, anger(??), joy and the fact that He records them, meaning, He categorizes them, puts a date on it and writes exactly why those tears were shed, blows-me-away! How much GOD, the creator of the universe, is fond of me! How important my life is to Him and how much He loves me and it is jealous for my heart that He takes care of even my tears!
As we start a new week, I pray that you will be encouraged with the thought of how much God loves you. How much He cares about. He is with you every step of the way. He would never leave you nor forsake you and he counts your every tear...
