Fasting sounds exciting in theory (tearing down strongholds and setting captives free) but once you get started you realize it is not very glamorous at all. The first few days you feel miserable and get headaches. Pressing into prayer is difficult. You come dragging home from work and then you start asking yourself "why am I doing this?" Then the enemy starts throwing problems in your direction to bring you down. Let me tell you this is normal. Fasting is hard. It is similar to digging a ditch in the hot sun. So here is my advise. Sit down, drink a tea, close your eyes and just rest in his presence. You will probably cry because God will show up and you will feel His favor. Just rest. It will be better.
thanks for the encouragement! :-)
